Finding a spot like Aqua Cup Cafe was by chance and we are glad we found it. A drive to Kovalam set off our hunger pangs, and this slightly tucked-away spot surprised us in many ways.
The first thing you notice is the attention to the decor. Few mirrors, windows, doors, wall hangings and many handpicked decor pieces adorn two sides of the walls. They do an excellent job of keeping us occupied while waiting for food.

The good old bread omelet is surprisingly good with a spicy mayo sauce, small onion bits, and the staple mint chutney. Cheese is optional. Each bite is delicious and smooth on the palate, making you want more.
The ginger tea is also a must try. Served in a cup and saucer with a reasonable quantity, it gives a homely feel. While we did try the fried offering on the menu, such as spring rolls, it could have impressed us more.
What Aqua Cup Cafe does very well is its quick service, tasty food made with attention to detail, and simple menu.
A must-visit spot in Kovalam. A fair warning – the place opens at 3 PM
